Rules
Goal of the game
- A board of 40 spaces: 22 properties in eight colour groups, 4 transports, 2 utilities, Chance, Stash, taxes and four corners.
- Everyone starts with the same kibblecoins, buys properties and collects rent from whoever lands on them.
- The last player standing wins, or the richest player when the game timer runs out.
- Two to six players sit at the table, everyone else can watch.
A turn
- Before the first turn everyone rolls the dice: the highest roll goes first. Then roll the dice and move that many cells. Doubles give another turn, a third double in a row sends you to the vet clinic.
- Every time you pass Go you collect 200 kibblecoins. Taxes and salary are handled automatically, while rent is paid with a button: before paying you can trade or mortgage.
- Every decision has a timer. When it runs out, the safe choice is made for you: roll, decline, end turn.
- At the vet clinic: wait for doubles (up to three tries), pay 50, or use a vet note.
Properties and rent
- Land on an unowned property and you may buy it at the listed price or pass.
- Land on someone else's and you pay rent. A full colour group with no buildings doubles the rent.
- Transport rent grows with the number the owner holds: 25, 50, 100, 200. Utilities charge 4 times the roll, or 10 with both.
- A mortgaged property earns no rent. Mortgaging gives half the price, unmortgaging costs 10% more.
Building
- With a full colour group you can build boxes (houses in the classic game): up to four per property, the fifth becomes a palace (a hotel). The bank holds only 32 boxes and 12 palaces for the whole board.
- Build evenly: a second box goes up only once every property in the group has one.
- Buildings sell back to the bank for half their cost.
Money, trades and debt
- Players can trade properties, money and vet notes at any time. One open offer per pair of players.
- Short on rent: sell buildings, mortgage properties or negotiate a trade. If you cannot pay, you go bankrupt.
- A bankrupt player's assets go to the creditor, or back to the bank if the debt was to the bank.
End of the game
- With a time limit, the richest player wins when it runs out: cash plus the value of properties and buildings.
- Without a limit the game runs until only one player is not bankrupt.
- A player who drops offline for a minute skips turns automatically; after three skipped turns they are out.
- You can surrender at any time from the room menu: your properties and money return to the bank and the match continues without you.
